To be clear, this allows you to reset any password for any user on a MacOS Sierra computer, including for the admin account. Before beginning, keep in mind that internet connected Macs running Sierra and other prior versions of Mac OS can also reset a password by using an Apple ID after incorrectly entering a password a few times, which may be a better approach for some users.

This tutorial is gonna help you if you have a mac pro with passcode. so you can’t log into your computer or if you have just forgotten your password. it’s a very simple procedure this tutorial is gonna work for Mac OSX 10.6 – 10.9 and above. Steps:
1) Turn off the computer
2) Turn on the computer while holding command and “R” buttons
3) Once in recovery mode, go to
4) Type in “resetpassword” (All one word)
5) Fill out your new password and information and that’s it!
the first step is to turn off your computer, then we already know it’s completely turned off you want to turn the computer back on and you want to hold down the command “R” and order button at the same time until you hear till you hear another little sound.
The computer will enter into recovery mode. so once you get to the screen go to the terminal so you want to click on tha.t once you do that you want to type in reset password with no spaces click enter.

Fix 3: Reset the SMC

The SMC (System Management Controller) in your MacBook Pro is responsible for some important hardware functions of your notebook. Resetting this controller is helpful for fixing a lot of hardware issues, including that you can’t turn on your MacBook Pro.
To reset the SMC:
i. If you are using a MacBook Pro 2017 or earlier
Press and hold the left Shift key, the left Control key, the left Option key and the power button on your notebook for 10 seconds, then release them.
Now turn on your MacBook Pro and see if this fixed your issue.
ii. If you are using a MacBook Pro 2018 or later
1) Press and hold the power button for 10seconds, then release it.
2) Press the power button to see if you’re able to turn on your MacBook Pro. If you do, great! New macbook air coding. But if not, move on to the steps below.

3)Press and hold the left Shift key, the left Control key and the left Option key for 7 seconds, then (don’t release these keys!) press and hold the power button and wait for another 7 seconds. After that, release all these keys and button.
